I know that -iso image is good because I deployed in on over 30+ different brand laptops. I turn on the ideapad and set boot priority to usb first. Windows loads installer and I select the language, after that I proceed to install but it pops out a window asking me for drivers. I tried to clear and partition SSD using diskpart but without any luck, I tried to switch betwwen usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports, different usb sticks but with no luck it is always asking me for drivers (I suppose for the SSD). So two issues, one is no drivers avaialble and second you would have to install from optical drive for Windows 7 I believe. Windows 7 certainly does not support USB 3 drivers and you should probably use legacy mode in bios too. Trouble is anything SkyLake or newer and even Intel has limited driver support for Win 7.

You would have better luck buying a refurb older model with Windows 7 installed. Since Windows 7 is only supported til Jan 2020 not sure its worth it. Windows 10 will run far better on newer hardware.

I included the bios that Dr. Spankenstein made for me! Its a great bios if you have a 3870! The clocks are 850/1250, and with CCC you can go down back to stock, or you can go up all the way to 1500/2000!!!! I also voltmodded my cards, I currently running 24/7 gaming stable clocks of 960/1296 on both cards!
